TCS Launches AI Compass for Banks

Tata Consultancy Services announced that it has upgraded TCS BaNCS, its core banking platform, with a new tool called AI Compass. The tool lets banks build and use their own AI agents without writing code.
Banks have been waiting for tools that let them implement AI without infrastructure investment or hiring specialized teams. TCS BaNCS AI Compass addresses that directly. It includes pre-built agents for common banking use cases, machine learning capabilities, and generative AI integration all built into the platform that banks are already using.
The upgrade also includes a feature called contextual assistance, which enables the AI to understand the context of what a customer is asking and provide relevant responses across digital platforms. This is meant to improve customer service without replacing the human interactions that matter most.
