Google has introduced a new AI-driven virtual try-on feature that lets U.S. shoppers see how clothes look on their bodies using a full-length photo. Available across Google Search, Shopping, and Images, this tool simulates fabric fit and drape using generative AI.
Key Features:
Upload your photo → preview clothes from top retailers (Macy’s, Walmart, etc.)
Smart Price Alerts: Set size, color, and budget preferences for tailored deal notifications
AI Style Prompts (Coming Soon): Search “vacation outfits” or “Diwali looks” → get AI-generated, shoppable visuals
Why It Matters:
Boosts engagement: Users view 4+ model options per listing
Helps retailers reduce return rates and increase conversions
Aligns with the rising trend in personalised e-commerce, expected to reach $27.7B by 2031
Currently U.S.-only and part of Search Labs. More updates—including “Buy for Me” via Google Pay—rolling out later this year.
🛍️ Online shopping just got personal. Try it via Google Search today.
