Cloudflare Acquires Human Native

Cloudflare announced on Thursday, 15th January, that it has acquired Human Native, an artificial intelligence data marketplace that facilitates transactions between AI developers and content creators.

Human Native is a U.K.-based startup that manages agreements between developers who need training data for AI models and content creators who own the intellectual property being used. The acquisition gives Cloudflare ownership of the platform's infrastructure for managing these transactions.

Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince stated in the announcement that content creators should maintain authority over their work, whether they write for human audiences or create content for AI training. He said the acquisition will help Cloudflare develop resources for AI developers to locate, access, and acquire trustworthy, high-quality data through transparent and equitable means.
