China Opens High-Altitude AI Supercomputing Center in Tibet

China has launched Yajiang‑1, an advanced AI computing center in Shannan, Tibet, at 3,600 m altitude. Part of the national “Eastern Data, Western Computing” strategy, the facility aims to decentralize AI workloads and promote green tech infrastructure.
