Brave has introduced a significant upgrade to its AI-powered search engine, enhancing its Ask Brave feature to provide users with more comprehensive and contextually enriched responses. This development marks a step forward in Brave's commitment to delivering transparent, user-centric search experiences.

Key Enhancements:

• Detailed Answers: Ask Brave now delivers longer, report-style responses that include relevant links, videos, image carousels, and other contextual enrichments. This format allows users to explore topics more deeply and access a broader range of information.

• Integrated Chat Mode: Following an initial query, users can engage in a chat mode to ask follow-up questions, facilitating a more interactive and conversational search experience.

• Deep Research Capabilities: For more complex queries, Ask Brave utilises deep research techniques to provide accurate and thorough answers, grounding responses with Brave's own API to ensure reliability.

• Seamless User Experience: Users can activate Ask Brave by appending a double question mark ("??") to their search query or by selecting the Ask tab on the search results page. This integration allows for a smooth transition between traditional search results and AI-powered answers.

Josep M. Pujol, Brave's Chief of Search, emphasised that this update aims to combine the strengths of traditional search with the capabilities of large language models, anticipating a significant increase in AI-generated answers.
